The masters of water security are jointly cultivated by College of Water Sciences, Beijing Normal University, School of Environment and Sustainability, University of Saskatchewan and Global Institute for Water Security, University of Saskatchewan. As they complete the study ranging from 1 to 2 years, they are expected to obtain the master degree of University of Saskatchewan at last. And with the certification of Chinese Service Center for Scholarly Exchange of the Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China, masters of water security are allowed to apply or register for the doctorate of well-known universities at home and abroad. The master of water security in both University of Saskatchewan and Beijing Normal University are rendered to the same standard of learning, through which it is hopeful that students of two parties can exchange with and learn from each other in the school of the opposite side. The project, while fully taking advantage of the discipline advantages of two universities to provide students with favorable teachers and teaching conditions, has been dedicated to developing an international pattern for training highly specialized personnel of water security through the powerful collaboration.
