报告简介:Modelling the flow of rivers in the landscape is needed for environmental planning, and real time control. Natural components are difficult to specify due to the vast heterogeneity of the Earth system. Anthropogenic components are difficult to capture due to multiple human actions. These issues make the modelling of river flow a messy problem. This presentation will outline advances in framing such systems in terms of tradeoffs between model complexity and identifiability, given the information available in any cases. The presentation will also present strategies to parameter estimation of high resolution, hydrological models. The role of soft information in constraining messy problems will be highlighted. The concepts will be illustrated by examples from real time flood forecasting for the Danube and tributaries, and flood risk estimation for Austria.
主讲人简介:Günter Blöschl教授,维也纳科技大学(TU Wien)水利工程与水资源管理研究所所长、水资源系统中心主任,现担任国际水文科学协会(IAHS)主席,曾先后担任欧洲地球科学联盟(EGU)主席、副主席,联邦德国水文研究所科学指导委员会主席,IAHS-PUB委员会主席等职务,现任Hydrology and Earth Systems Sciences(HESS)等多个杂志的主编、副主编和编委等职务,曾先后获得IAHS国际水文奖、AGU的Robert E. Horton奖等。Günter Blöschl教授的主要研究领域包括社会水文学、区域洪水过程模拟、土壤水模拟、水文风险评价、全球气候洪水动力学等,发表学术论文250余篇,参编专著38部,独著7部,h-指数60,SCI论文他引10956次。
